Drama Classes for People with a Disability

Programs

Imagination Theatre has worked in collaboration with Recreation Sports and Aquatics Club (RSAC) delivering drama programs and performances for the past 10 years. These programs provide opportunities for adults with a disability to build skills in confidence, expressing ideas, movement, voice and articulation, improvisation and performance.

Weekly Drama Classes

CLASS SCHEDULE

DRAMA – Wednesday 5pm (limited places available)

DRAMA Advanced –  Wednesday 7pm (this class is by invite only)

ZOOM DRAMA  (ONLINE)- Tuesday 6pm (Open for bookings)

This class takes students on a personal development journey using numerous drama games and activities. During Terms 1 and 2, students work towards a performance for their annual presentation night. For Terms 3 and 4 the focus is more on building skills in confidence, expressing ideas, movement, voice projection, articulation and improvisation. 

During the year there are opportunities for the group to showcase what they have learned through short presentations. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

RSAC Drama

DRAMA  COMPANY (Advanced) –  Wednesday 7pm – 8:30pm

This is an ensemble for students who wish to build on their skills in devising shows and performance. Working closely as a team, we support each other as we grow, we share our dreams and learn to face our fears. We communicate our ideas in a safe space so that we can create magic on the stage. RSAC Drama Company created their first show Cafe Paris, in 2018. This mimed comedy was very well received and will be performed throughout 2019 -20

ZOOM DRAMA  (ONLINE)  18+

Tuesday   6:00pm – 6:45pm

Build confidence, communication and creativity

This is a wonderful class for anyone who would like to try drama and also for those who are unable to attend a class in person. This class is fun, inclusive and interactive.
