Amanda Laing

Director / Teaching Artist

Amanda is an Actor, Voice Artist and Movement Director. She graduated with a Bachelor of Performance from Theatre Nepean and subsequently completed an Internship with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre. This led her to Japan where she trained and performed with the renowned Maro Akaji and Dairakudakan. Amanda works as a Creative Play Facilitator with Creative Learning at Sydney Opera House. She has previously worked on Theatre in Education projects in Hong Kong for Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre and with Sydney based company Em’s Entertainment.

Amanda’s stage credits include: Mr Stink – National Tour (CDP Theatre Producers), Zeroville (Lies, Lies and Propaganda), Dinkum Assorted (New Theatre), Emma Dean and The Imaginary Friends (Emma Dean Music), Love Meats Mouth (Two Hours Traffic), Dante’s Inferno, Amadeus, The Menagerie of Innocence (Zen Zen Zo), Golden Show (Dairakudakan, Japan), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet (No White Elephant), The Merchant of Venice (Sydney Shakespeare Festival). Screen credits include: Rake, Review With Myles Barlow and Double The Fist.
