Trisha Starrs has worked over the last 30 years as a professional actress, children’s writer, producer and children’s performer.
Trisha graduated from the Ensemble Theatre Acting course in 1987. She then established the very successful theatre company ‘Shakespeare where you like it’ which toured abridged versions of Shakespeare’s plays in high schools throughout Australia.
As an actress Trisha performed in numerous plays as well as making TV appearances on ‘A country practice’ and ‘Young Lions’. She also directed the very successful ‘Breakfast at Krishna’s and Deadstar which toured the Sydney, Melbourne and Perth fringe festivals.
Trisha was a founding member of the ‘Troubadour Theatre Company’ which has over the last twenty years performed countless plays and presentations in primary and high schools throughout Australia and New Zealand. Trisha worked as a full time actor for this company until 2002. Since 2008 Trisha has established her own agency ‘Starrs Productions’ which assists schools to organise special events for students. Trisha has written nine plays for children suitable for primary to year nine. These plays have been produced and directed by Trisha and have toured successfully throughout Australia and New Zealand. The most popular of these plays is the anti-bullying trilogy for primary schools and the cyber security plays that deal with the issue of bullying at school.
